Born in El Paso, TX, Eduardo has performed all over the state of Texas in numerous recitals, festivals, and competition finals. He holds top prize awards in both solo and guitar ensemble competitions, including 1st prize at Summerfest International Guitar Competition and 2nd prize at UTSA Southwest Guitar Symposium.
Eduardo began playing the guitar at the age of 11. After becoming enamored by the repertoire of the classical guitar, he decided to pursue a career in music.
Eduardo holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Brownsville, TX. In Brownsville he studied under the accomplished guitar pedagogue Dr. Micheal Quantz. Eduardo also holds a Master of Music in guitar performance from the University of Texas San Antonio, where he was a TA for the UTSA String Project. At UTSA, Eduardo studied with Dr. Isaac Bustos of the Grammy nominated ensemble, the Texas Guitar Quartet.
Eduardo now studies under Dr. Bokyung Byun and works as the guitar studio Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas where he is pursuing his DMA in guitar performance.
